My good news is that my youngest daughter told me she wasn't coming home for Christmas and then suprised us all by turning up - we have had a wondeful Christmas!

Phil R, Falmouth, UK

Luke and me cooked an exciting vegetarian Christmas roast last night (with pigs in blankets for meat eaters like me) for us and eight friends. It was about an hour late and our oven was jam packed but it was worth it because it was amazingly good and everyone had a lovely time.
I now feel well and truly festive.

Wow! Just touched a light switch with sopping wet mitts and felt the rather surprising force of maybe one watt of electricity coursing through my veins. For a moment there I was thrilled beyond all imagination. I was immortal. Sadly, now I’m fully aware of my own mortality again, which frightens me so much sometimes I have to retire to my bed where the most fantastical dreams whisk me away from such a harsh and perplexing reality. Still, it was good news while it lasted.

SLUGINASALTBLIZZARD, Manchester UK

Just watched a pigeon greedily guzzle down some spew near a bus stop on Oxford Road. Although it may only be the projectile from an unsettled donner kebab, it's still good to see those little peckers indulging in some fine nutrition. Maybe he or she will now have the energy to flap the rest of that green gob off its tatty wings, which will also be good news. Not as good as the consumption of human sick for the purpose of survival, but good nonetheless.

My darling husband died exactly a year ago, but I am doing well thanks to the love and grace of God. May others benefit too from praying to our loving Father. This is my daily prayer :- Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Protect us from the darkness within and around us. Teach us to be compassionate. Help us to pass on His grace, and give us the ability to bless everything and everyone..

Heather has a learning disability, she has spent 20 years in a day centre doing the SAME jigsaw for 20 years.

She’s now got an individual budget which means she can have her own staff of 3 Personal Assistants and go where she wants.

Last seen, she’d been ice skating at the Eden Project and when she went Christmas shopping she was able to stay and see the lights.
